This morning I needed to do a background check and decided on NetDetective. I paid the 29.95 for 3 yrs and began my search.

After an hour it was still preparing my report, hence nothing. So I called the "live" support line and went through every option available to get to a live person but each option refers you to the website for assistance and disconnects. Now I am an IT specialist with a college degree and several Microsoft certifications. My equipment is top of the line.

I verified all my browser settings and tried again. This time the screen "was preparing my report" for 2 hrs. I called my credit card company who in turn actually did get an individual named Cody who was happy to cancel my account but refused to refund my money because nobody else had complained and the system was fine on their end.

He blamed it on me. I paid for a service, got nothing, cancelled it within hours, and NetDetective thinks it deserves 29.95 for absolutely nothing

Monetary Loss: $29.
